The Aerial Dance Masterclass, " Dance with Intention and Artisry" has been designed for aerial artists who wish to expand on their knowledge, be challenged and to explore other styles and techniques. Students will also learn to integrate dance and deliberate movement into their existing repertoire of skills. We also will introduce briefly The Mojo Methods, a technique created and used by our masterclass coach Rodney James

By the completion of the class students will have

Gained confidence in dance technique
A better body awareness
A deeper understanding of how to connect dance with aerial. Maybe a routine?
Discovered something new about their body and within themselves, their performance , but most of all learning the art of connection, technique and discovery of ones self.

(We will also offer 30 mins of questions and answers after the masterclass)

More about the COACH

It’s not an exaggeration to say I was born to perform! Dance was my first love and it has sustained me throughout my life in more ways then you could possibly imagine. I have experienced over and over the power of going deep into the body to find wisdom, strength, and spiritual connection. I have dedicated my career to guiding others to find empowerment, freedom and a truer connection to their best selves through mind/body movement and dance. Over the years I have created numerous dance fitness programs, all aimed at one thing; challenging my students to break through whatever is holding them back from really loving themselves. It’s about going slow enough to really feel what’s happening inside and letting go of all judgment and competition. When you do that it unleashes this wonderful sense of freedom and PLAY! In my classes there’s always a sense of discovery, we’re all going at our own pace and learning together, including me. Every time I walk in the room, I have an idea of what I want to offer that day, but the spirit of the group and the energy in the room will take us where we need to go. It’s exhilarating! Because I have such a strong foundation in my craft and skills, I am confident enough to go with the flow and make every class unique and wonderfully fulfilling for both my students and me.

Will i need a silk/hammock to do the class? Yes,
Can i pay the fee of $25 and just observe and take notes? Sure you can
By the end of the class, do we learn a full routine with both aerial and dance? Not full, at least half of one.
I have experience only in aerial and hoop/lyra but have no dance experience. Can i do the class? Absolutely you can
Is Rodney and The Mojo Technique offering more courses like this in the future? Absolutely. We also do consulting and private tuition for competitions, performances etc
Im advanced in both aerial and dance skills and would like to know if i will be challenged or to advanced to participate?
